Welcome to Southern Oak Equestrian Hi Ho Hunters 4-H!
If you haven't been a part of 4-H at SOEC before, now is the time to get involved! Let's continue the great camaraderie of the barn, the wonderful IEA experiences as well as the mentor/mentee program between the younger and older horse loving girls.

Check out the NC 4-H Horse Program
Brochure to see all that 4-H has to offer. There are so many educational and fun programs and contests for the horse loving kid!

For new families interested in joining 4H, here is a quick overview.

  1. Our 4-H club meets once a month, usually on a Sunday at 1pm. We will publish the meeting dates here - note we do not meet in June or July. We all love a summer break!
  2. Typically meetings are about 60-90 minutes, parents are encouraged to stay and help! Getting involved helps build sustainability of our club for years to come.
  3. We try to have some sort of hands on or educational event, topic or presentation at our meetings. Some meetings might be field trips to local(ish) equine centric places.
  4. We will be scheduling some community service events this year, and do expect attendance at some of those events as well.

We have members of all ages, from 9 years up to 17. We try to make sure all our members have fun, but also learn about horses and give back to the community.
